Going out this morning with fellow kansasbrittany for our last hurrah for the season. And hopefully let my son bag his first rooster. Hitting Lucas area never been in this area but heard good reports from friends. Excited to see a little snow so hopefully the birds hold tight.:D

the new year is just starting you still have 30 days to bag more birds and the birds should be on the move this morning early due to yesterdays squals and snow they will be ready to feed

cold and no birds.

The hunt was not as good as I had hope for but I shot my first quail ever. I think when kansasbrittany goes with me I can not miss the shots. Every time I go by myself or just my son I miss all my shots. But I was happy just to be out in the field watching my dog make her first retrieve on my first quail.:D

Hopefully get one more hunting trip left for the year and I am going to go as far west as I can go to get into a lot more birds.

Good plan Sir. Sorry for the mess yesterday. We wanted to try a new area. We didn't realize that the guy that owned the 3 sections of land, had enrolled 2.5 of them in WIHA. My apologies, but that's the way it works sometimes. We'll know better next time:rolleyes:

Nice shot on that quail BTW:cheers:
