One last Hoorah tomorrow

Co Buckeye

Was out on Saurtday with another UPH member with no luck. Flush a few hens in close range, but all of the roosters were out at least 75 yards if not double. Drastic change from 3 weeks ago when I saw easily 100 birds in a day! Thank you to those who shared your advice and spots with me this year as it was my first year hunting. Only one bird on the table in over 5 hunts, but thats how it goes I suppose. Wanted to get out tomorrow to Brush maybe. I know the populations aren't great there, but I don't know if I have 6 hours of driving in me as well as $125 in fuel for the day. If anyone is interested, PM me as I will be out as the sun rises. Best of luck toeveryone over the off season. Also, anyone out there do Turkey season out here? I've got the bug and was looking for some good areas in the mountains for Merriam's.

yup they just didnt wana play with us this weekend! first time i got skunked and didnt hunt the next day... i wish i woulda spent the night up there and hunted sunday too. (other reasons i shouldnt have came back on saturday lol)

hopfefully next year, if im still in CO, ill have an actual bird dog and just that will make a huge difference.
