While at the moment I am sitting in my office in "desk jockey" position, at six this sevening I will be camoed and sitting by an overflow pond on the High Plains of western Kansas waiting for the dove to fly in for their evening drink. Life is improving.

Just got back from morning dove hunt. No one in our group limited which is why we are just now getting back. Just not enough doves. Hope all of you have better luck. We got four total white wings, all kinds of juvenile morning doves, and a couple of collard doves. The tempature at 8 AM was already 109 and when we left it was 115 and still rising. Best of luck to all of you and hope it is not as hot where you are hunting. :)

The afternoon hunts might be in the 109 range for the next few days but here in Central Texas they are calling for a cold front to move in.... 95 is where we are supposed to be over the weekend. Wish you better luck tomorrow and I will post up after the weekend to let you know how my first hunt in 12 years goes.... GOOD LUCK ALL!

:eek:Man that's hot Jmac. I feel like a wimp not hunting this afternoon because it 95 here in IL. lol

Looking like highs in the 60's next Monday. I'll give it a go for Morning Doves and Squirrels then.

Nice to hear of your stories. Keep them coming.

Yea Been very hot this last three weeks in central Arizona. The overnight lows have been in the mid 90's so when the sun comes up so does the temp and my temper. Every summer I question my sanity for moving to Arizona.:D

Oh Yea that's right Quail.

BC, how was it?

What about you AJ?

been quite enjoyable- yesterday and today- couple hours only in the morning- took all 4 Britt's- staked them out and sat in a lawn chair

have some work to do on the retrieving- never lost a dove though

felt like I have been eating duck for the last 2 evenings
