Next Week!!

Finally, first trip of the season will be next week. Headed up farther than usual and try some new WIHA ground. Going solo with the pup and a camper, so I will try a state park then an RV park or two. Gonna be pretty Spartan as far as accommodations go, but better than not going at all. Can't wait to smell the land. Anyone want to make a day hunt let me know, I am game.

Im going next wed. thru sunday. I will be staying in Ness and hunting from their over to my farm in Finney county. I'm not expecting to limit out like opening weekend, but a friend and I will kill some. I guarantee we will get plenty of fresh air and exercise.

I will be out the 16th- 18th! Do some huntin' cut some wood for my buddy and have a great time!!!! Will hunt my way down on Friday through Gove and then Lane Counties!!! Finney ain't too far away!!!!! ????:10sign:

I hunt quite a bit in Lane county. My farm is 20 miles south of Dighton. I have a friend that farms in Ness, Lane, Hodgeman, Finney and Scott counties. I have hunted all over that area for 10 years. This year is down, but there are still birds around. I don't mind not being limited out by 10 am every day like the last couple years anyway. I kind of like hunting the smart old birds as its a challenge for the hunter and the dogs as well. I think too many people get caught up in how fast they shoot their limit or how many times they get to shoot rather than enjoying the experience. I really love that county out there, and plan on spending several weeks out there between now and the end of January since things are to muddy here now to do any farming.

Most little towns offer RV parking too. You can't go too far north this year. ;)
