Hi there -

I'm new to UPH. Born and raised in the Columbia Basin. Started bird hunting at age 8. Attended WSU; where I spent more time pheasant hunting each fall, than time in class. I met my wife in Pullman (she's from Kirkland/Bellevue) so we live on the West side. But, spend as much time as possible in Eastern Washington. We have two young boys (11 & 8) learning about hunting (when not playing sports). Both boys can handle pointing dogs as they've been raised with them. We have two English Pointers (retired field trial dogs) and one GSP (18 months). The shorthair has been in Oregon training for months - should be home by October - That is if he doesn't go to Kansas for the GSP Futurity.

Anyway, glad to meet you all and I'm looking forward to sharing ideas and experiences in the filed.......

welcome to the site retired english pointers wow guess you always get your birds i had a retired trial pointer he was great actually after 2 years of wild bird hunting i reentered him in trials and had a blast with him he was rejuvinated and he loved doing it all over again
