My husband and I have a Vizsla and recently attened a fun day at the local Vizsla club in FL and our dog surprisingly took fasest time locae and point ribbon. My husband now wants to take up hunting and we do not now where to begin, Some preliminary research on the internet has come up with "Hunts" completely out of our budget. Can anyone refer us to contacts in Fl where we could go on weekend trips with other experienced hunters to bag some pheasant and stay at a motel not fancy Lodge? Can no find any Hunt Club to join whos members go on real hunt trips.... Thanks.

Quail might be the closest upland bird for you to hunt. I know Georgia has quail but that is all I know. Quail Unlimited and Pheasants Forever are two organizations that may have info on the nearest upland hunting opportunities for you. I assume that Florida does not have a wild pheasant population, but I am unsure about quail and snipe. Outside of the Great Plains states, hunting access can be difficult. The Great Plains states have programs for public access to private land for hunting. Good luck and happy hunting.
