Hello guys.... I want to start off with saying I dont want anyones "Spots" but as someone who loves to hunt Pheasants and yet never hunted out of Utah ( I know, I know :) ) I think I have scraped money together this year for a trip and was thinking of going to Kansas but everyone is saying drought is a killer this year....... So was curious about Montana, how are the birds this year ? and without giving exact locations away, what areas do you think would be worth me researching ? Any information is appreciated !!
And thank you.

Bird numbers in MT are going to be down from a down year last year.
Yeah I'm still going to be there.
I would say, The Yellowstone River from Billings to ND is the best bet. Lots of Winter shelter, lots of cattle feeding. Really helps pheasant survival during the tough Winters. Private property though, ain't going to tell you it's easy access.
