New gun

Just picked up a Benelli Montrefeltro Sporting Ultra in 20ga. High rib, 28” easier loading, larger bolt release, 6 lbs. It has a top ported barrel. Not sure if that is functional on a shotgun, but seems like very little muzzle jump. I think it just came out in late 2024. My go to has been a BUL in 12, but this might be a decent pheasant gun to switch off to now and then. A lot less recoil, and I appreciate that.

Congrats. Sounds nice. I’ve got my eye on a Browning A5 sweet sixteen Lightning. I want a 26” barrel and haven’t found many.

We like the humpbacks. Dad has several. He picked a Sweet up a few years ago…this thing is brand new. Don’t believe it’s seen a shell and it’s from the 50’s. Had a Montifeltro out last night and put it together. Gotta say that action is silky smooth.

Got a 280 20 ga with 25” barrels about 2 years ago. Pretty sweet.
