New gear

I found a number of sales over the holiday weekend on just about everything. Following the old adage that it is better to ask for forgiveness than permission, I grew a pair and ordered a couple of new upland shirts to wear in warm weather, a bird bag and a bird launcher with remote. All on the cc of course and I figure it will take a few days before the packages start showing up. I'm having a colonoscopy next week and I needed a positive distraction...at least that's my excuse. Anyone else buy anything?

I just bought a new camera as a belated retirement/birthday/christmas present to myself.
I live 5 minutes away from a National Wildlife Refuge here in Montana and find myself taking
photos with my used bridge camera about 6 times per week.
It does a great job with good light:

But without good light not so much


and not so much with birds in flight:

(hence a camera of my lifetime purchase)
