Just back from visiting family in Maine. A nephew there had expressed an interest in upland hunting so I took him to a bird ranch for an afternoon pheasant hunt. A single woman ran the place and did a nice job. She had a skeet range where my nephew shot a gun for the first time ever and got excellent tips from her. Then it was time to hunt and she fielded a Brittany and then a GSP. Nephew downed two birds out of three quality shots, so he had a good experience.
