Nebraska Hunting

Hey Everyone, my buddy and I are headed to Nebraska soon for a 3 day hunt. I've read the pheasant report but wanted to see if anyone had experienced what the report said or are there better areas? Thank you.
 
I hunted one day outside Alma and did not see - although I heard one -a pheasant. Saw one covey of quail. But I just hunted the one day.
 
I hunted public ground in the panhandle of the state and shot 6 birds in three days. I saw on maybe 50 total birds. I hunted around the Kearney area on thanksgiving and shot 3 roosters, 3 chickens, 3 quail and a coyote.
