I just moved to Louisiana this summer and with my new job I do not have much time if any to work with my dog. We moved from Kansas were i would take her out all the time. Since being here she likes to run away from the house and I have to spend all day looking for her. I am going back to Kansas in 2 weeks and we are going to hunt some birds. My question is 1. Is she going to run away from me out there, and 2. should she get back in to the swing of things on our hunt. Much thanks to any help.

She is running away because she is bored and feels neglected. I think once you get back to Kansas. She will feel this is what I am wanting and will work for you. If possible I would get her out for a few field runs before the trip. You do have to get back on her good side for she feels you are letting her down........Bob

Yep, you need to get that bond back. Spend some q time with the dog, even if it's just a scratch behind the ear and some retrieves in the house with a fuzzy bear. She should be OK hunting.
