musky fishing

wow. lots of action already this year 1 strike and 2 follows in one night. 2 of the fish were upper 40" fish. couple days ago my boy and a friend went fishing and had a fish of about 50" along boat. there has been a 54" fish caught and released also. any tips on getting them to strike. figure 8 hasn't worked.

Keep after 'em!
My best muskie was 44" and 23 # from Merritt Res near Valentine, Nebraska.
I doubt I'll ever catch a bigger fish, but I'll keep trying.

I've fished Musky a few times on Leech and other area lakes.
Seems to be the best in HOT still days. Takes a fast lively lure to get them pizzed off. Still it's about 1,000 casts per hit.
