Motivation

Well, the lotts have been tossed...late winter/early spring deployment to Afghanistan is going to happen. My motivation this time is going to be that upon my return I am going to take my dad with me to Cordoba, Argentina on a South American Dove hunt. During my last deployment, I had a mental image of the perfect day afield Pheasant hunting with my dad back home in IL. I was lucky enought to experience that very "image" that I had envisioned in my head this last fall. (my favorite hunting field, big flakey snow flakes falling from the sky in a hypnotizing rhythm) I stood there for the better part of a minute and soaked up the scene.....not a word was mentioned, everyone understood........................HOME

That sounds like an awesome trip to plan with your Dad. I cherish every trip I take with mine.

Sometimes I miss being in the military, but with the current ops tempo I never seem to miss it come hunting season
