My sons and I had the day off on Monday, so we went to Quail Run to do some training with Echo. She did well, but there are things we need to work on with her.
1) No bird - I missed a shot and she chased the bird for 500 yards despite me yelling "no bird" - big issue that I need to correct - advice welcomed (video would be ideal)
2) Retrieve to hand - At times, Echo drops the bird despite me telling her "hold" - I am working with her in the backyard on holding a bumper and heeling.
3) Echo is a pointing lab. I need to correct her tendency to dive in. Advice appreciated.
