Mid Nov Trip

hey all,

me and a few of my friends are planning a week trip(monday-friday) on a public land hunt. we will have at least 3 people and 2 dogs (gsp and an english pointer) I am not looking for anyone to give up there secret/go to spots to hunt, rather just some tips that will make the 10hr trip worth it. we have had some good luck with the hunting atlas and some articles online. as it stands now we are looking to go in and around ft. dodge area, ogden, wall lake, and rippey. thanks in advance for any tips!:cheers:
 
Where are you driving from? Gotta get to the west side of the state and in reality I would say head to SD instead (hate to say that). I will likely even be making my first run there ever this year.
 
Iowa birds are on the rise. Yes SD has more birds but there are plenty in IA. Also mid nov you need to knock on doors and ask for private. I have always found it easier to get permission in IA than SD. Good luck!
