I am planning on traveling to ND for a pheasant hunt with my first time hunting wife, after Christmas, looking for a area with a fair amount of birds but lots of access (plots or not posted). I really dont like hunting for a spot to hunt. I really enjoy the cattail areas and I have hunted central ND 30 or 40miles north of 94 but am told I should go farther south. Any recommendations? Appreceate any help,
 
The Mott area has good bird numbers and good public acess. My wife and I have hunted there the last two years and did well on Pheasants and Sharpies.
