This is the first time in my life that I am hoping we DON"T get the snow they are saying we are going to. Seeing 6-12 for fond du lac and Sheboygan counties!

As mentioned in another thread, I have no experience in a bunch of snow....sort of thinking my season is going to be over. My dog is a small guy, I can't see him being able to work very well in a foot of wet heavy snow.
 
Don't know how much more/less snow we have than you but if we get much more it going to be really tough, here's a pic from this AM and my dogs chest is almost plowing snow. Sounds like 12" on the way??

This is the field side where a lot of the snow is blown off already!
 
We only have a few inches so it isn't bad now. It is really hard and crunchy though because of the freezing rain we got the other night.

Just watched the weather and they said 8" for us. Time to put the gun away and get the sled out?

Saw the pheasant crates being loaded this morning as I drove past to go Christmas shopping.....I am going to give it a try in the morning regardless. Would think the birds sit pretty tight in a snowstorm.
 
Good luck! I'm going to give it another shot tomorrow with some help, that brush line in the picture is about 40 yards wide and about a mile long, all the birds would flush from the middle and fly out the other side, tomorrow they won't be so lucky!

Make sure to post up how you do. I have found myself wishing that I had help a few times this year. Some places are just not easily hunted with one person. Good luck! :cheers:

I don't, it's probably a good idea if they'll keep them on. Today really left some marks on my dog, small cuts around on his legs/feet and a few bloody spots on his face and neck from a burried fence and probably a few spur strikes
