Looking for a place to hunt

Hi All:

I'm looking for a place in Iowa to hunt pheasants this Fall. I have been hunting in Chamberlain, South Dakota for the past 4 years and would like to switch it up. In Chamberlain, I was hunting on private land with a guide and I did well so I wouldn't mind sticking to private land.

Either a preserve or private family owned land would be great.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Years ago we hunted south and a bit east of Atlantic, IA. And I hunted out of Carroll as well. This was back in the 70's. Have not been back since the early 90's; was not productive at that time.

Iowa has been very poor for several years; weather, floods, and little crp to hunt.

Good Luck!

I live in Iowa, and havent bought the license in 5 years, and I live in the prime part of the state, according to some. Its not that its absolutely impossible to shoot a pheasant here, its more like my time limitations facilitate me having to make a trip to shut off the work in order to have an enjoyable experience. Same with my fishing.. Its all in South Dakota..

There a ton of state land in Dickinson and Emmet countys for you to enjoy..

Im not seeing many birds though..
