Looking for a Nov or Dec hunt

My dad, father in law, and I are looking at heading to SD for a 3-4 day pheasant hunt in the Nov 7-17 or Dec 3-14 time frame this year. Looking for suggestions for outfitters, pay to hunt land, etc. Budget is around $200-400/gun/day range. That is for hunting, lodging, and food. We have a couple of young dogs that we would like to take with us for a little experience, but niether has been on wild pheasants before, so we will be relying heavily on the guides' dogs. We want to make sure we have a good chance at daily limits, and posibilities for a mixed bag like sharptails(even if we had to do some driving) would be a great bonus. Killing birds is not the driving force though, we are looking for a fun experience on wild pheasants.

Interesting message...

Can you tell a little more about your party? Ages, experience, dogs?

I may be able to direct you to a hunt situation: $140 per day but it excludes food. You can prepare your own at the rented farm house. Dates are Nov. 23 for five day's.

Look into the Featured Hunts section above--many good outfitters there--one in my area of SD is U-guide but better hurry as it fills up quick as do many others.

I should have specified that none of us has been to SD or hunted wild pheasants before. I am 34, the other 2 in the party are around 60. We are from NC. Dogs have been on ruffed grouse and pen raised quail, but will be introduced to pheasants before coming out there. Beginning/middle of the month dates are better than the end of the month for business reasons. I am looking at some of the featured guides and other links that I am finding. Thanks for the replies and info so far.

You might check with "South Dakota Wild" They offer several sites for hunting, although I believe they are still working on their web site regards reservations.
