Long No Hunting Stretch

From spring turkey to dove and grouse always seems like a loooong pull of no huntin' - and some long, hot days. <big sigh>

Clay birds are in season. I sharpen my shooting skills at the local range instead of golfing. Not like real hunting, but the comraderie is good.

I am getting my 2 1/2 year old PP ready for his NAVHDA U/T this fall and also working with my new pup (the summer is flying by).
Will start scouting for birds this weekend!

This weekend, I will be in the mountains looking for blues and may even run up to Wyoming and check on some sage grouse.

I would really like to get my guy into a natural abilities test, but as you mentioned, summer is flying! Not sure if I will have the time.
