5 minutes in 8-10 hens and roosters flushed a bit ahead of us, dropped one going right to left. Pointed a hen right after. Then 2 cocks flush wild just out of range. 50 yards on Shady flash pointed and dropped him going straight away. Over sooner than I would have liked. 6” snow on the ground and just beautiful. Great way to wrap up a good season.

I'm glad to hear numbers are coming up a bit. When I lived in Ohio about 10 years ago. I only had a few farms to hunt in Ross county that had some wild birds.

We had mild winter last year which was a boon. This year is already a doozy. Ross has the most crp in the state. I’m in Madison
