Lacreek Pheasant Hunt - A short drive from CO!

I love this place. Six hours from my home in Denver and a really easy drive. Great bird hunting up there in South Dakota. Here is my report and a little bonus video on where I like to hunt up there. Enjoy fellas!

Looks like you guys had a good time and thanks for sharing:). When were.you up there? We just got back last Wednesday from the chamberlain area.
 
We got back last Monday, the 24th. Wasn't too crowded once the weather kicked in. How was the hunt in around Chamberlain?
 
It was pretty decent. I posted a thread in the SD forum if you want to check it out. I'm planning on going back after Xmas if the weather isn't too crazy. Thinking of trying this area out that you posted :D or the winner area to try some new grounds.:cheers:
 
Wow. That's really cool you got out there with your daughter. And a few days of limits no less. Well done.

Yea, I would suggest taking a look at Lacreek. It's a neat little area with some great cover. And you can't beat the drive.
 
Yes my daughter has been hooked when I took her hunting a few weeks ago. She still has not figured out the reaction time when the birds flush but she gets excited every time we shoot one down. Plus when she gets tired she likes to drive the truck and pick us up. That is really nice. Maybe some day we can meet up for a hunt. Shuttle hunting? Yup, I can get into that! Would love to get out an hunt sometime. Always up for new company.
