Lac qui parle pheasant hunt

Hi everyone, long time lurker new member. I was wondering if anyone made it out for the start of the Lac Qui Parle pheasant opener and how did it go. I thought it started on the 6th so I missed it.

It was hit or miss for most. We ran all private land just east of the lake and had good luck. I think between 4 of us for the two days we got 13. Saw some hens which was good. We did run one public spot that yielded some good results.

Let you know how this weekend goes, hopefully the Temps stay above freezing to keep it decent to walk.

Sounds like you guys did well,I'm really mad at myself for missing the opener. I have gone down there for the last 5 years or so. I normally hunt the Montevideo area the rest of the time. Couple years ago we had a pretty good snow start right at 9, I think they ended up with 6 inches or so by the end of the day. Good luck this weekend!!
