Sire - Cannon Lavoie - 9 1/2 year old Unregistered English style Blockhead - relations to Hightest Kennels (wwww.hightest.com)
90lb blocky yellow long haired male, calm and quiet. Excellent Duck and Goose dog. Outstanding temperament and superior drive. Can execute multiple blinds and long retrieves 200+ yards. Hand, whistle and voice commands. Holds game until released to ha...nd only. Loves meeting new people, hiking and fishing and great around kids.
Dam - Delta Dawn Lavoie SR55429707 - 1 1/2 year old Registered American style Smooth 65lb short hair black. She is becoming a very good upland dog and was bred specifically for her nose. She will do single and sometimes double blinds but she is still young and learning. Temperament is excellent and she is very happy being a large lap dog. She is much more protective than Cannon and is quick to investigate any odd noises. She truly is a lover and is great around kids. Hand and whistle commands.
First off I am not a breeder and never will be. My hunting buddies have nagged me to death to breed Cannon (sire) so I finally did. I specifically bred him with a dam that has a superior nose to continue his line and NOT for financial gain. Birth timing is perfect; these pups will be just over a year of age for the 2011 waterfowl/upland game season. We will deliver the puppies to your home no ifs, ands, or buts about it - we want to ensure that the puppies are going to a well-cared for home. All puppies will have their dewclaws removed, de-wormed and first set of shots. All vet/med background paperwork will be provided.
If you are looking for a great hunting dog these are it. Not to toot my own horn but I have hunted over many dogs and Cannon was far more superior in his retrieving than many others. I can tell you multiple times where I sent my dog out for winged ducks and geese for other hunter parties near us in which their dog was off running around. Cannon's never-give-up attitude was quickly recognized as a young dog and I utilized this trait to it's fullest. He truly is an awesome working dog and companion plus he's good looking to boot.

As I mention that I am not selling these puppies for financial gain, the money spent on the puppies will cover the following: owner background checks if needed, all food for the 8 weeks of weaning, Dams post delivery appointment and spay, x-rays, shots, Sires neuter and follow-up, puppies dewclaws removed, full exam, all shots and de-worming, plus any training toys and bedding.
They are currently very close to potty trained. Those who are using the dogs for hunting, I will be using duck and pheasant wings and feather-stuffed bumpers and scent drags for training and playing. I will also start teaching them how to sit, stay and come with voice and whistle commands at 7 weeks. Dogs not used for hunting, I will focus on retrieval with balls and ropes. All puppies will NOT be rewarded with treats what so ever but with love and praise. All puppies will be put on softened rawhide as soon as they begin to teeth for good teeth and gums.
All puppies are eating a mixture of Kirkland and Eukanuba puppy chow with wet Iams can food. The dry mix will allow the new owner to choose based on price and the pups digestion will adjust to either quickly.
