I've always wanted to take a hunting trip here

I used to live in Omaha for a stint. I always wanted to go bass fishing on carter's lake but didn't have any gear with. I'd like to get down there pheasant hunting. I figure it's better than Kansas and more public opportunity. I haven't been there in 20 years, and seems it's down now from drought, but hope the rains this year helped the cover. If you have any general tips fire away. I probably won't get down there this year but I will do it sometime before I give up the ghost.

I’m thinking it should be a good year . Probably better than most? If the rain stays away it looks like there could be a couple of huntable days next week . Still a little bit warm, but I may end up going.
