It's Time

It's time to add another member to our family... that's right, new dog time!! I now have a 4 year old Black pointing lab and couldn't be happier, but I would like to try a new breeder. The wife would love a white lab but I haven't herd many good things about them. Sooo... Guys I need some help, point me in the right direction give me some recommendations and advice. I'm open to about anything, new pup, starter pup or finished dog.

Thanks in Advance!!

I have a yellow (very light yellow) that points and is a fabulous dog on pheasants and waterfowl. I would make sure that you are talking to a good breeder and that BOTH parents were proven hunters. If that is the case, I wouldn't worry about color. That's a little like saying blondes can't hunt, but brunettes can!

My best bud has a huge pointing yellow lab, seriously the thing looks like he's part mountain lion! He's been pointing pheasant and quail since he was very young, great dog, we'd be lost without him. He came from a breeder of pointing labs, I do think it's critical with "pointing" labs to get them from a breeder of pointing labs. Most people use GSPs and brits around here so my buddy's lab always surprises people:D

Thanks for the help guys, I'm gona put a call into that Turkey Creek Labs tonight and see what they have.....

Let me know what you find out

Let me know if you find anything out from Brad or Sandy at TurkeyCreek. I forgot to mention in my first message, that they breed specifically for Pointing Labs. Hope they hook you up with something.
