Since some other hunting states seems to have a quail thread I thought I'd start one for Hoosiers.
I hunt a little quail each year in IN. Gone twice this year so far. It's a very short season running about 6 weeks.
In two hunts I have now kicked up 6 covey of quail both in NW IN and SE IN. I'm not trying to kill many, just 1 or maybe 2 per covey to give my dog work and me an appetizer. So far so good. 6 covey, six quail. In my many years hunting the Hoosier state those numbers are very good. The best in decades.
