huntin up north

well this year wasnt a bad year saw hundreds of birds, mostly north, i read another post from a guy there arent too many birds south of 80/35 anymore and all these ice storms arent helping at all there killin so many birds and the birds that are down there are gettin pushed so hard and their too jumpy i mean you cant get within 60-70 yards without kickin em up and unless your shootin a turkey choke you arent gonna hit em that far out and you gotta be shootin like 3 1/2 4 shot to hit em i mean its almost not even fun anymore.

How did you do hunting around Des Moines? I see you are from Pleasant Hill, I am from Ankeny. I hunted quite a bit around here and didnt do too bad, but certainly not as good as years past.
