Live in Michigan and have to pay for birds or hunt scratch birds. But we can hunt anytime the temperatures permit. DNR is turning birds loose again also. No hens though which is unfortunate. The grouse hunting and woodcock hunting here is coming along nicely. Will be in the West side of the Upper Peninsula the second week of October. Did this last year and never seen my pups have so much fun. One got mad at me when I kept missing and asked for my gun
