Just thought I'd post in here before I got too carried away posting elsewhere. This is my first day really looking through this forum and I'm finding it too be very helpful and educational.
I'm fairly new to the Upland Bird Hunting world and especially the Pointing Dog Training side of things. I'm working on training my two dogs. I have a 5-month old Weimaraner and a 6-month old German Shorthaired Pointer. Training them is definitely a full-time affair but the dogs and I are learning a whole lot during the process. They're both extremely smart and very headstrong!
I look forward to learning lots from all the information contained herein. Keep up all the posts and if y'all know anyplace where I can find more useful information let me know!!

Welcome. You certainly jumped in with both feet with two young pups like that. Hopefully some of the pointer folks here can help you along with any issues that come up. Please make sure you post some pics for us.

Welcome to the site. That will definitely be a challenge training both those pups. Good luck though. There is enough information on this site to help out with that.

congradulations on your new interest in upland hunting ask and you will recieve answers for almost everything if not the peaple on here can point you in the right direction and welcome aboard

Hello, Sounds like you got your hands full. I went to gundogbreeders.com and found some good breeders/trainers/doglovers who I could talk to by phone. I have talked to folks who are about building thier breed for health and hunting ability and not just selling a pup. There is alot of info to sort through,so take your time. Happy hunting.

Welcome to the site:thumbsup:
