Our prayers have been answered! Heidi is on her way home!!

A farmer was out in his machine shed and heard a noise, and there she was, curled up in the corner! He called my dad and they picked her up at a farm, nearly 2 miles away (as the crow flies) from where they had been hunting. She is tired, and sore from the long trip, but she is eating, drinking, and doing all of her #1's and #2's just fine :) Thank you so much for all of your kindness and concern. Please give your dogs a hug for me. I can't wait until she gets in so I can give her a big hug!

That's great news Lauren! Thanks for keeping us posted. Losing your dog is every bird hunter's nightmare. Glad this one has a happy ending. :)

That's awesome news Lauren! I can't imagine the anxiety that must cause, not knowing what has happened to her. What a relief to your Dad, to have found her in good condition. As far as hugging my dog, yeah I think 'll let him up on the bed tonight.

Great news!

Lauren-
I PM'ed you. Great news!

Paul-
So your dog is going to sleep with you tonight? That reminds me of a story. We ran a little sundries store years ago when the electric blanket first hit the market. One of our regular customers came in and saw the blanket and said, "You know, you will never sell one of those to 'ol Ralph, when he gets cold at night, he just pulls up another dog." That customer had told us stories about Ralph having over a hundred dogs running loose, but we thought he was stretching the truth, but one day we went to his place in the country and my brother lost count at seventy.

"Pulls up another dog", that's a great story Maynard. Actually, my dog being a Vizsla, he gives it his best every night to sneak up on the bed, AND under the covers! Some nights I spoil him more than others! Oh well, he works hard for me when we're out there getting after those birds, or just out there havin' fun!
