"heat factory' gloves...

Problem: keeping my thumb and trigger finger warm when hunting or shooting sporty's.

Have used the little "heat factory" packets. However, they don't go to the tip of my fingers or thumb...packet is too large.

I called the Heat Factory headquarters in California and started a conversation. They make a glove and mitten that accommodates the packet, but doesn't go to the end of the finger: the mitten works, but you have to remove same to shoot and the glove only has an insert on top of the glove.

Anyway, maybe they will design a cold-weather glove that can accommodate a half-packet that would insert on top of the finger and thumb into a sleeve arrangement.

Stay tuned, maybe the new glove could be -" Ultimate Hunting Cold Weather Glove."

On my trigger hand in really cold weather I usually wear a glove liner and tight fitting wool glove that I try to keep in the right pocket of my vest as much as I can. When in an area that looks birdy or the dog looks birdy I put that hand on the gun. This helps probably better than any more heavily insulted glove would.

I found a cheap wool knit glove and plan to install (finger only) over the modified ski glove; I think it will work. Thin gloves of any kind aren't thick enough, especially with a wind.

Have not ordered the battery gloves as yet...
