Heading to Kansas

I am heading to Wakeeney KS. area for a five day hunt I was wondering if you guys have any input about the area I will be leaving hopefully mid or late Dec. any information would be appreciated.

hyde I think you should run into alot of birds around the wakeeney area let me know for sure what dates and maybe we can hunt together i live about 30 miles from there

You've picked a good area to hunt. Plenty of walk-in acreage.

I, too will be there from Dec. 15 - 22. We have hunted there for the last 3 years. It keeps us coming back.:thumbsup:

i'll be there for the opener, no secret, pretty good bird populaion out that way.

Go S or E from there for best results. There are opportunities for combo in the area mentioned, but it's not the best part of the state to do it in.

i agree, there are better quail areas in kansas, we usually run into 2-3 coveys a day, for me they are simply bonus birds.
