Hatch Opinions?

Well, its that time of the year again. Anyone in pheasant county seeing any evidense of how successful the first hatch may have been? Too hot, too dry? Predictions?

I can't speak for any reports at all since I live in the cities. But I'm not feeling good about this year sadly. I had my hopes up for this fall. Last year I saw ALOT of hens where I hunt. They had a relatively mild and snow free winter also. If we could have had just an average spring rain and temps wise, it was shaping up to be a banner fall.

But now with the drought and heat, I'm really concerned with how the hatch is going and would be curious to hear from anyone that lives or frequents pheasant country.

We saw lots of birds early spring but no chicks yet. Things are drier then a popcorn fart in southern Minnesota
