Grinnell Area

Heading to the Grinnell area in less than 2 weeks. Anyone have any number they want to share or if birds are being seen?

Hello Ct,

There are birds in this area and have been for quite some time. I hunt a little west of there each year and do well. Check the harvest of the crops as this is the biggest factor right now in hunter success. It has been tougher this early part of the season due to crops in the field but should make for some better later season hunting. You are also going to be close enough to Thanksgiving weekend so expect to be turned down due to relatives visiting and to see a few more hunters than usual that week! Good luck and good hunting!:)
 
Thank for the information KBell. I really appreciate it. Hopefully crops will be coming out fast. We have a small group that I am bringing and about 4,000 private acres to hunt so I am hoping for the best.

If you have access to that much land in the area you should see plenty of birds and have a fine hunt! Good hunting!:)
