FINISHED THIS YEAR WITH A BANG! HUNTED FULL DAY SATURDAY AND HALF DAY SUNDAY. 3 HUNTERS WITH 3 DOGS. KILLED 11 ROOSTERS AND 2 QUAIL ON SATURDAY AND 10 ROOSTERS ON SUNDAY. BEST HUNT IVE HAD ALL YEAR, COULDNT BELIEVE THE NUMBERS OF ROOSTERS LEFT. SAW MORE ROOSTERS THAN HENS. JUST CURIOUS IF ANY ONE ELSE HAD ANY SUCCESS LAST WEEKEND.:10sign:

I hunt in Ellsworth County. Birds held real good, I was surprised since it was late season but the frigid temps and 3 inches of fresh snow helped us alot.

Awesome J MAC, you guys tore it up. Public or private? Have any pis's to share?:10sign::thumbsup:

Here are some pics from the last weekend of the Kansas bird season. Two of us hunted near Sylvan Grove. We just enjoyed the nice weather and great dog work.

me and a friend went to beloit fri thru sun and stopped to ask a farmer close to where we usually hunt and got permission to my surprise it was a un picked corn field with grass around the edge WOW did we see birds i bet 200 boiled out of there needless to say the bird numbers there are truely plentiful WOW!

End of Season Good Times

Looks like you made the most of the last two days of the season. Great pics! I too got out to the Happy Hunting Grounds in NW Sat. and Sun. Hunted with my regular buddy out there and then with some other locals on Sun. who treated me to some superb private land I had never been on in the 17 seasons I have been going out there. Came back with more pheasants and quail for the freezer and for friends. Sunday I will be serving wild turkey noodle soup, pan roasted quail, and apple pheasant casserole at our weekly potluck.
