I would say the opening week was a little disappointing. We found birds but many were adults and many hunters were complaining about the lack of birds. Kind of surprising based on the forecast and reports from locals.

However, having said that, it is the GREATEST time of year and there are birds out there somewhere (always).

Life is good, hunt hard!
 
Yes it takes a lot of walking per rooster in Montana. Oh but the rewards when a big colorful rooster cackles as he goes up and away.:thumbsup:
