Getting it done

nice job!!! i too limited on ducks but only once. can wait for goose, i finally convince the wife and allowed me to join a goose club this year. :)

Waking up at 3am and setting up in the dark is killer. But pays off when meeting the limit. I new club I joined, I saw video clipping of last year waterfowl. I am very impress with the amount of geese land on their property. I beleive I am allowed to bring 1 or 2 guess so I will throw in a invite when the time comes..

Nice video, thanks for sharing:thumbsup::10sign:

Is he a young dog? I am not sure where he was when the birds where shot, however when duck hunting I try to always make sure my dog has a clear view of the decoy spread and the main shooting zone area.

Also, keeps some rocks in your pocket to throw in case he doesn't see the ducks fall. I also use "mark" and a cue to my dogs so as to look out and then when they hear the shot, they start to look out.

Teal are fun and fast!! Nice body of water and it looks like a very nice blind area to hunt.

I have hunted waterfowl from Alaska to Texas, getting up early, setting out the dekes, getting setup, getting the dog situated, it is a lot more work than upland that's for sure ;) But well worth it when you limit out.....I have limited out a few times, good times....and good eats!!

Hi Greg

That is not my dog. He needs some professional training. That said, he did a good job being it is just his second time out. I will pass your thoughts to his owner.

Thanks for the guidance.

I am sorry I did not know that. For only his second time:eek::eek:

I would say so, at least he got out there and got the duck. I have seen guys out hunting whose dog would not even get into the water (to cold I guess) and the bird floated and floated and then I had to send my dog on a long, long water blind to get their duck for them (Mr. Warden was watching)
