Garmin Collars. DC-40, DC-50 and TT-5 compariosn

I have the Astro 320 and DC-40 collar. Works fine. Some signal loss and strange signal movements in the woods, but if I am walking .... it works fine.

Has anyone on this site ever used the DC-40 collar and one of the newer collars ?

How do the DC-40, DC-50 and TT-5 compare ?

I have read some of the product literature, but am interested in people's real word experience.

The TT5 is a big step up in signal transfer to the Astro unit over the DC40. Never lost signal today in the woods (leaves generally still up too).

I had the 320/DC40 a few years ago. I had numerous issues with the DC40 right out of the box. To their credit, Garmin/gun dog supply replaced the DC40 right away. The replacement collar functioned well for the one season I had it. I never used it in heavy cover.

I now have an Alpha that works well.
