Game Party

A friend of mine and I just recently thought of this idea.. Him and I are the only hunters in a large group of friends and alot of them look at us like we are crazy when it comes to eating duck and pheasant all the time. This year at the end of the season we are going to have a Game Party in which we plan on cooking up all of our duck and pheasant in a variety of ways and invite all of our non-hunting friends over to drink some beer and try out the food. Does anyone have any good cooking suggestions or recipes? Has anyone ever done anything lilkethis? I figured it would be a cool way to introduce some people to wild game. . Maybe not tell them exactly what they are eating until after all the food is gone and what not.

Lots of recipes in other threads in the forum. Bacon wrapping bird meat and grilling it over charcoal seems to always make a hit with non-hunters.

Waterfowl marinade

Here's a great marinade for duck. No wild flavor.
1 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
2/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon dried minced garlic
1 tablespoon flour
1 small onion
1 small container of sesame seeds

Cut breasts in 1 inch strips. Mix all ingredients together (except sesame seeds) and blend in a blender until smooth. Toast sesame seeds until golden brown. When marinade in blender is smooth, add marinade to a bowl and mix in sesame seeds. Add meat and marinade for 24-48 hours. Grill or fry. Enjoy!

Used to own a little diner,it's unlawful to sell wild game,so once a year we had a charity game feed.Had everyone bring whatever they had and let them use my facilities to prepare and serve.Charge 10 a head and you have a little coin for your favorite cause.Had everything from clam bakes to rattlesnakes.
