Got invited to the Upper Peninsula for some fishing. Had never been up that way. Passed through the self-proclaimed "world capital" of ruffed grouse in NW Wisconsin. Passed by the St.Croix fishing rod factory, also in Wisconsin. Saw ruffed grouse for the first time when I reached the UP. Another sighting: in the evening two wolves ran across WI-70 in NW Wisconsin. Learned that the word "sauna" is pronounced SAOW-nuh, not SAW-nuh.
