RGS Members,
PLEASE HELP RGS
STAND UP FOR HUNTING ON YOUR FEDERAL PUBLIC LANDS
US Capitol Building The U.S. Senate is currently addressing Senate Bill # 2363 (Bipartisan Sportsmen's Act of 2014) and may vote on this measure as early as this afternoon (July 9th) or later this week! We sincerely apologize for the very short notice that we are providing, but sometimes that's how the legislative process works.
This proposed legislation does a number of things to enhance hunting in the United States. But perhaps the most compelling is that it requires that federal land management agencies, such as the U.S. Forest Service, specifically evaluate the potential impacts of proposed land management projects on opportunities for hunting.
Sounds simple doesn't it? But to date, it's not required of the stewards of YOUR federal public lands.
Please take a moment to contact your Senators and remind them that
HUNTING AND WILDLIFE CONSERVATION ARE NOT PARTISAN ISSUES,
even in an election year.
URGE THEM TO SUPPORT S-2363 (Bipartisan Sportsmen's Act of 2014).
