We did OK this weekend for the most part. There was still plenty of corn right next to the patches we hunted so that hurt. We found most of our birds in dredge ditches where every thing was picked. They seemed to just be drawn to them this weekend anyway. We had two hundred acres of CRP to hunt but when we arived I saw that it was infested with Canada Wild Rye, cover crop. Did not want to risk loosing a dog from seeds so we may have done better if that would not have happened. Hope they start to burn that stuff.
