Expanding on public hunting

I just received this email. I haven't read through the whole thing yet. Just thought maybe you Wis. guys might like to get the word out

We could have a lot more land to hunt in this state if they would make better use of their money for that purpose. For example a lot of vpa's are almost useless for hunting.

Pardon my ignorance Wist. but what is a vpa?

volunteer public access or private land leased by the wdnr for public hunting.

Some of them are just crop fields with no cover to hold game once the crops are picked making them useless for hunting,others are so close to livestock or buildings that you don't dare shoot on the majority of property.

It is a good program though because there are a lot of vpa lands that offer excellent hunting. I just wish they'd be more selective of who they pay.
