Employment and Pheasants

Recently graduated from college and would like to start life out in CO. I was wondering if any fellow hunters would know of places that are hiring or own companies that are looking for a hardworking and motivated worker.

Secondly and possibly more importantly I am looking for places to hunt and train a bird dog. I have a young lab that I am working on training. I am new to pheasent hunting so I am in need of all the help that I can get.

I am focusing my search around the greater Denver area but would be open to other suggestions as well.

Funny

I know with California in the tank you are receiving a lot of refugees. Not all of them are the crazies that you generally hear about.

Small world but my Dad was born and raised in Kansas. I have family that lives in Scott City, KS.

I graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a double major in Business and Leadership. To be honest I do not know exactly what I am looking for. I enjoy being outside and working with people. During college I worked on a farm in the summer. Since graduating I managed a lawn care company for a season while the owners were away taking care of personal matters. Currently I am working in a Financial Aid office of the college that I graduated from.

Appreciate any leads I know that it will be tough.

welcome

It's pretty tough with the economy and all, especially so without a lot of experience, but keep a chin up as many places really are hiring - just special niches and not bulk hiring. I'm not sure if the control analyst req. is still open after the new year, and the current administrations new announcements, but your schooling may be applicable - it never hurts to send a resume - at least it makes you feel more proactive than reactive.

brew

New Belgium isn't bad (1554), but Breckenridge brewery puts out a vanilla porter that competes with my homebrews

I had looked at the New Belgium Brewery website a few years ago and it looked like a descent (fun) company to work for.

fast900t, I have tried the Vanilla Porter and it is good. I also like some of the Steamworks brew. They started selling it here in Tx, although limited. Every time we're in Durango, we stop in and have a few.

Check out the government jobs. Lots & lots of them coming out the last month or more due to new budgets.! Forest Service, BLM, National Parks, Fish & Wildlife, etc....are all hiring a bunch of people right now.

 what am I doing? I am adding competition to my job search!!! UH, nevermind! No jobs in Colorado!!! JK! LOL!

Good luck!
