ECollars?

Hello Everyone,
I am starting to explore ecollars for my new dog and was wondering if anyone had any advice or suggestions on brands and types. I would like one with 2 different shock settings..one mild..one GET THE HELL BACK HERE..and would also like one with a beep option to simulate whistle for here. Waterproof would be necessary. I mainly hunt pheasants but also do a bit of waterfowling. Any input or advice would be appreciated! Also, if anyone has any good reading on e-collar training I would love to hear it. Thanks alot!

I started using tritronics with my first dog, but after replacing the transmitter twice in three years it got to be a little spendy for me. I'm now using sportdog and have zero negative comments. Can't remember the exact unit with out looking at it, but it is their waterfowl which is basically a fancy way of saying that its camo. Its waterproof. And has the tone button on it. Biggest advice would be to make sure the dog knows the command before you try to reinforce it with the collar. A lot of guys I know tend to be a little trigger happy when it comes to collars.

TriTronics and Dogtra. Buy right and buy once.

Both have many models to suit every kind of dog and hunting situation.

This is a good place to check out, I'd consider the reconditioned collars

I like the Pro 100 but any Tri Tronics tube style trainers are great picks. The G3s have the tone button that you don't have to switch off the shock settings to get to which would be nice.

I can get most collars whole sale if you want to price them out. The dogtra 1900 NCP is a great all around collar for most all situations. But I can get tri t as well. If any one is interested let me know what model you would like priced out.

I use a Sport Dog SD 400. It's got 8 levels of stimulation, continuous and momentary mode. Plus it has the tone button without any correction. It doesn't have a super long range, but working a lab it doesn't really matter. Tough to beat for under 200$.
