doves and melons

Hunted the S/E part of the state Saturday and did quite well! I had a farmworker stop by and ask if I would sell my doves(limit). I promptly said no but he could have them. He was very grateful! About 30 minutes later he was back and gave me 6 watermelons and 9 cantalupes. What a trade!

Yes. We hunted about 20 miles east near Granada. Knocked em dead! Going back this PM for the evening and tomorrow AM.
 
Glad to hear someone got on the birds.

I didn't do so well this year, just couldn't find them. I was hunting alone and didn't want to go that far S/E without knowing I had something to shoot at.

That is awesome...sounds like a good trade. So Granada huh? I drive past there every year on our way to Kansas to pheasant hunt.
