The Dogtra Element 300M is a relatively inexpensive one-dog e-collar. A new one is $169.95 total on eBay with free shipping and no tax.
The build and materials are excellent, consistent with Dogtra's product line. There is no external antenna on the collar. An easy to use knob on top of the transmitter allows for adjustment of the power. The transmitter has an attachment ring on top and a detachable neck cord. The collar has a ring for a leash. This collar retains the box-shaped collar device rather than one ergonomically shaped as with some newer models.
Afield it is easy to use. The most prominent button is for vibration, located on the front of the transmitter, and the vibration is sufficiently strong to get the dog's attention, unlike with the new Dogtra ARC which I reviewed recently. The other two buttons are for nick and continuous and are on the side with the nick above the continuous. Thus, there is an always-active button for each of the three modes which allows for immediate activation in any mode. The button arrangement is very logical: with a trained dog the master typically starts with vibration, then goes to nick, and then something stronger if the situation warrants.
The Dogtra Element 300M seems like an excellent one-dog collar.
