Dodged one storm

Well, we seemed to have dodged one winter storm. They were calling for over a foot of snow, we received maybe 6 inches in Glasgow and similiar reports to the east of me I have heard. The strong winds lasted about 18 hours, so hopefully most birds hunkered down and got through the storm ok. I was out running the hounds Saturday morning and it was nice to see that most the stubble fields are blown clear with maybe 3-4 inches of snow on them. The long range forecast seems pretty decent for January, but we shall see. So far, it has been a pretty typical winter here in NE Montana, hope it stays that way.
